FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

+ What is Permanent Makeup / Microblading is it like a real tattoo?

Well yes and no! I have an official State of Florida Tattoo License #36-44-1432843. In the permanent makeup world, we use the fancy word micropigmentation. Like a tattoo Micropigmentation or Cosmetic Tattooing is implantation of pigment into the derma layer of the skin. The difference is we use Pigment designed for permanent makeup use Unlike body tattoos, which are made up of carbon ink Permanent makeup pigments are made from oxide-based pigments. This pigment has proven to been safe and effective for permanent makeup use in or around the face. This pigment is designed to fade over time, so color refresh is recommended every 1-2 years on average. I use 100% Vegan Permablend Pigment Brand. Trusted by the best artist in the Permanent Makeup industry. Every supply is 100% disposable items that are not disposable are cleaned with Cavicide.

+ Does it hurt?

If you ask that question to anyone who has had Microblading or any kind of permanent makeup you will get various answers. Some will say not at all. Some will say yes. Some will say only a little. The reason is everyone numbs differently and has different pain tolerance. I use very good topical anesthetics numbing cream & gel that work amazing! I have had people literally fall asleep (no joke) when I have done their permanent makeup! When doing eyeliner, a lot of people say it tickles. So, I would say most are very comfortable if you start to feel pain, I just stop and re-numb!

+ What is the difference between Microblading & Soft Powder Brows?

It’s the technique. There are a lot of different terms you will hear Microblading, Microshading, Ombre Powder Brows, Soft Powder Brows, Machine Hair Strokes. Some of these are the same technique just a different name used for marketing. Microblading is using a hand tool with microneedles grouped on the edge and the artist uses the tool like a paint brush gently scratching the skins surface in the direction of hair stroke’s to and mimic realistic looking hair. Soft Powder brow or Microshading is using a machine to create a more filled in look. This technique is ideal for aging skin, people who have existing brow hair and want more shape and fill. If you can’t decide which technique your artist will give you a professional recommendation before we start depending on your skin type and the desired results.

+ Why are some Permanent Makeup artist less expensive and others more expensive?

My price list is located here on my booking page. One of the most important things you can decide is who will perform your permanent makeup. I will tell you I am very experienced 14 plus years in this industry. I am not the most expensive and I am not the cheapest in town. You should NEVER base your decision on price! Good permanent makeup will make or break you. I don’t want to scare anyone away from getting this done. Great Permanent Makeup can be life changing! It can build your self confidence and make you feel beautiful not to mention save time! However, It can be devastating to get a botched permanent makeup job! I have seen and corrected countless permanent makeup jobs done by inexperience artist from all over. Research, reading artist reviews, seeing the artist before & after work (not just stock photos but photos that were done by that actual artist with their name on the photo) Make sure you are in a licensed facility and that is clean and they have an establishment license with the board of health in the county where the procedure is being done.
